Key Discussions

Booking

  • Sid provided a summary of the meeting between the venue bookers
  • Rules were agreed and will be published on the website
  • Promoters now have WhatsApp to pre-discuss potential scheduling conflicts
  • Not everyone was happy but all agreed to try out these measures until Christmas

Cleaning

  • On booking, promoters will be asked to commit to cleaning by a certain date
  • Minimum expected cleaning checklist will be supplied
  • If disposal service is required, extra levy will be charged to cover fee

Renovations

  • Will be carried out in January, usually a quiet time for gigs
  • Removal of plasterboard partition wall
  • Men's toilet
  • Secure room
  • Terrace fence

Funding

  • Philip Corrigan outlined current funding application progress
  • ACT have secured €75k for 4 projects, one of which is TheNCF
  • Other applications still in progress
  • Implementation plan will follow once full scope of funding is known

Queries regarding organization

  • Seo explained evolution of legal structure from unincorporated association to CLG
  • Group remains committed to ICA co-op principle although not legally a co-op in Irish law (compliance burden would be too heavy)
  • Financials are open to all members for inspection, simply ask and bank statements or read access to bank account will be supplied

  1. Booking Rules

    • Publish agreed booking rules on website
    • Set up WhatsApp group for promoters to discuss scheduling
  2. Cleaning Protocol

    • Create minimum cleaning checklist
    • Implement cleaning commitment requirement for bookings
    • Establish disposal service levy structure

    • Schedule January renovation works
    • Plan removal of plasterboard partition wall
